Math/Science Technology Resources

I am currently teaching 5th-grade math and science! I am on the hunt for new and engaging technology resources. One that I have come across is Generation Genius. I thought I would share this platform as my student LOVE it! So far, we have watched several science videos on this site. There are assessment questions before and after the lesson. There are also extra activities to go along with the lesson. One interesting activity is the premade Kahoot that goes along with the video! So, after watching the video, you can have students join the code and play the game. My students LOVE it!!

Computer Science in Any Subject?

Yes, it can be done! One way I love to incorporate computer science into my lessons is by using online games. Gimkit now offers a create your own map mode! Students can design a mode to use with any game available or self-made. This new mode requires creativity, computer knowledge, creative problem solving, and scientific thinking.

Students will love creating their own mode and will be excited to share with friends! I have been experimenting with the new mode with my students and we learned that you can invite friends to join while you are building. This is great when you want to troubleshoot through the process!
